Broomfield, CO, June 1, 2023 – Scottsdale Construction Systems announced today the successful completion of the acquisition of Knudson Mfg. Inc. effective May 1st, 2023.
Scottsdale Construction Systems is excited to announce the acquisition of Knudson Mfg, in Broomfield, Colorado. Knudson will continue as the premier United States based manufacturer of cold-formed steel roll forming products and other roll forming and processing equipment. The Knudson line and rich history of product development will create an extension of the Scottsdale product line into both heavier gauges and larger sizes to meet the demands of the rapidly growing global steel framing and construction markets. This will include machines with the ability to roll form much higher gauges and much wider shapes than our traditional Scottsdale machines. In addition to the standard machines, we also have plans to offer a standard floor joist framing machine, slotted track roll formers, standing
seam roof panel machines, and allow for some other custom-developed roll formers.
Derek McSpadden, President of Scottsdale Construction Systems remarked, “Scottsdale Construction Systems has been investing heavily for the massive growth and disruption we have seen globally. We are very excited about the combination with Knudson and the opportunities it represents for the Scottsdale Family – our employees, our customers, our vendors, and our business partners. This immediately extends our manufacturing footprint to include a United States based manufacturing facility to compliment our Napier, New Zealand machine manufacturing. The combination also extends our product line to include heavier gauge capable machines as well as other sizes and profiles. Scottsdale plans to manage and grow the business with the same foresight and vision and maintain the status of influence and innovation to continue to challenge the status quo and bring new capabilities to the built environment globally as we navigate the future filled with opportunity.”
Patrick Flood, President of Knudson commented, “We are thrilled to join forces with Scottsdale Construction Systems. I have long admired Scottsdale’s designs, craftsmanship, systems development, and focus in cold-formed steel framing. I think the exceptional results they have achieved speak for themselves. We are really looking forward to adding our manufacturing and product development experience, as well as a North American manufacturing and distribution footprint, to Scottsdale’s overall capabilities as we press into future opportunities!”
